WHEN DO CERTAIN CAR PARTS NEED REPLACED?

BATTERY

How often you need to change your battery depends on a variety of things. In most cases, batteries should be replaced every 48-60 months. And, even if everything seems to be working properly, it is important to check on your battery every couple of months.

FUEL FILTER

Replacing your fuel filter can often be overlooked, but it’s still important to know when it’s time for it to be changed. Depending on how often the fuel pump is active, it’s safe to say that it should be replaced every 2 years or 24,000 miles.

AIR FILTER

In order for your car to run its best, the engine needs air. It’s important to change the air filter at least every 12 months or 12,000 miles to ensure it’s free of contaminates.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID/FILTER

To keep your transmission from fighting friction and to keep it in safe operating condition, it’s important to keep fluid levels normal. We recommend replacing the fluid and filter every two years or 24,000 miles.

POWER STEERING FLUID

Power steering fluid should be checked with every oil change and topped-off as needed. If you notice the fluid level is low and don’t have time to come in, it’s simple to top it off yourself. Just make sure you add the proper fluid type - it can be found in your owner’s manual.
