Barron, Wisconsin has always been a great place to live. It was settled in the late 1800s, but for countless years before that, Native Americans called it home with its bountiful and fertile soil. The Barron of today is a vibrant small town with an amiable spirit and lots of reasons to get out of the house!

The theater is alive and well in Barron, Wisconsin thanks to the Barron Spotlighters community theater group. The artists that make up the group put on a musical every year that is appropriate for the whole family. In addition, they host workshops in the summer designed to help children learn skills like acting, directing, set design, etc. They even offer a yearly scholarship for college!

Looking to break a sweat? The Barron Community Center is the place to go! Sign up for a volleyball league or take swim lessons. The center sponsors a lot of great events all year round, like the BACC Icebreaker Triathlon. Relax in the sauna or hot tub after a basketball or racquetball game with friends. Sign your child up for the Kid's Klub where they get to participate in all sorts of fun activities.

Of course, Barron is really the place to be when it comes to the outdoors. There are ATV and snowmobile trails all around town. Hiking on the trails at Rockman's Woods is a great way to commune with nature, either by solo for some quiet time or with the whole family.
